Head of product

This position will report to the Chief Technology Officer

The job will entail the following responsibilities but not limited to:

  • Write detailed product specifications and manage project execution of each product iteration
  • Work collaboratively with CEO, CTO, Head of Customer Success, Head of Engineering to set out a vision, roadmap, and goals for Kaddra’s product offering
  • Weekly communication internally on product roadmap and releases
  • Monthly communication to customers on new features
  • Look for opportunities to monetize new features and up-sell to existing customers
  • Engage with Customers to understand requirements
  • Support the Sales Team and Sales Process with product materials and updates
  • Ensure that there are adequate training materials to support internal and external users
  • Able to measure relevant platform metrics, and prioritise features based on these metrics
  • Collaborate with Marketing to ensure the Product is represented correctly in all sales tools
  • Collaborate with Head of Engineering to ensure timely delivery of product increments
  • Support the Head of Customer Success and Customer Success team
  • Establish feedback process for receiving and organising customer feedback
  • Verify that new product increments satisfy the business requirements
  • Ensure systems are in place to collect feedback and feature requests
  • Make data-driven design, feature, and improvement recommendations
  • Perform user satisfaction surveys to help identify areas for improvement
  • Lead and implement internal stakeholder sign off processes, ensuring accountability for ROI.
  • Identify and evaluate user and business requirements.
  • Create clear UI mockups for new features.
  • Participate as the “Product Owner” in the Agile process, responsible for writing User Stories, Acceptance Criteria and Prioritization of the Backlog. .
  • Ensure clean and accurate documentation that may include aspects such as business requirements, client requirements, and technical specifications, and write findings in form of reports.
  • Lead relationships with 3rd party partners and look for opportunities to grow the product offering through strategic partnerships


  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and conscientious
  • Strong skills and ability to troubleshoot issues quickly, and find solutions to solving them independently in a timely manner.
  • Must have a working knowledge of Google G-Suite, Google Sheets, Google Docs, Trello
  • Must have experience collaborating with an Agile development team
  • Must have experience working with mock-up tools e.g. Invision, Balsamiq
  • Great knowledge of IT processes and willingness to constantly update knowledge.
  • Inbuilt ability to multitask, working on more than one issue simultaneously.
  • Able to carry out tasks with little or no supervision
  • Familiarity with cloud-based SaaS products
  • Experience with analytics and able to manipulate raw data for driving product decisions

Success Criteria

  • Customer satisfaction levels above 80%
  • Little or no variances to the communicated roadmap and release times
  • Progressive reduction of internal manual processes
  • Less than 20% escalations from Level One to Level Two support.
